Online registration now available on the website

The 2022 Australian Deaf Games is now open for business. Registrations opened on Friday 16 April 2021, with special Early Bird discounts.

In less than twelve months more than a thousand Deaf and hard of hearing people from all over Australia and neighbouring Pacific nations will converge on Newcastle and Lake Macquarie for Australia’s pinnacle, four-yearly Deaf community sporting event – the 19th Australian Deaf Games.

With up to twenty different sporting competitions and a variety of other events that celebrate and showcase the community’s unique culture, the 2022 Australian Deaf Games promises to be a wonderful event where everybody will be ACHIEVING TOGETHER! From 16 APRIL 2022 to 16 APRIL 2022 the Hunter will be THE place to be!

Registering for the Games is easy, and all can be done via the 2022 ADG Website . The website has lots of information about sports venues, the Games Hub, the Opening & Closing Ceremonies, the Games Social/Cultural Program and other social activities. It will be progressively updated over the coming months in the lead up to the Games.

Deaf Sports Australia (DSA), NSW Deaf Sports (NSWDS) and the 2022 Games Organising Committee are working together to make sure the Games experience is enjoyable and memorable for everyone involved.

Venues for the 2022 Australian Deaf Games will be spread throughout the two Cities utilizing the many world-class sporting venues that are available.

We are delighted that the NEX Entertainment Centre in Newcastle will host the Opening Ceremony and the Games Hub, with the new Lake Macquarie Speers Point Multi Arts Space hosting the Closing Ceremony.

In addition to the NSW Government and the Cities of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie we would like to thank our Principal Games Sponsor – Deaf Services and Deaf Society and the Principal Venue Sponsor – Wests Group Australia for their wonderful investment into the Games.
