Terms and Conditions
2026 ADG Inclusions in registration forms for participants and volunteers
All Participants must read and agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
- I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the 2026 Australian Deaf Games events as determined by the Games Organising Committee and governing bodies for sports, including all written, signed, and verbal instructions that may be given by GOC designated officials.
- I accept that decisions of the 2026 Australian Deaf Games officials are final.
- I will always participate in the XX Australian Deaf Games with fair play.
- Events for the XX Australian Deaf Games may proceed in all weather conditions provided organisers and event official determine in their sole discretion that it is safe to do so.
- The GOC committee reserves the right to change venues, competition days and schedule of events and to cancel events as determined by the GOC in its sole discretion.
- I declare that I am in a physically fit and healthy state required to participate in events that I am entering in and that I am not aware of any serious medical condition that would prevent me from participating in these physical activities.
- If I sustain an injury or illness while participating in the 2026 Australian Deaf Games, I hereby authorise medical personnel to perform and administer first aid medical treatment as deemed necessary and to seek more specialised medical attention at hospitals and medical centres if deemed necessary by first aid and medical staff in attendance at the XX Australian Deaf Games event.
- I agree to abide by the Australian National Anti-Doping Policy (available on the Sport Integrity Australia website at https://www.sportintegrity.gov.au/what-we-do/anti-doping/ world-anti-doping-code/australian-national-anti-doping-policy), effective from 1 January 2021, being the anti-doping policy adopted by Deaf Sports Australia and applicable to all participants at the XX Australian Deaf Games.
- I agree to abide by Deaf Sports Australia’s National Integrity Framework policies (available at https://deafsports.org.au/national-integrity-framework ) effective from November 2023 and applicable to all participants at the XX Australian Deaf Games.
- I accept the risks associated to my participation in the 2026 Australian Deaf Games and thereby agree to indemnify, release, and hold the GOC and Deaf Sports Australia harmless from any liability and/or injury that I might suffer, during or due to my sporting or other performance.
- I understand that my name, biographical information and/or my photograph and/or likeness may be provided to the GOC and DSA, and I consent and agree to such provision of this information.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Victoria & the Commonwealth of Australia, and actions arising hereunder or relating hereto shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
- I am 18 years of age or over and have the authority and the right to enter into this agreement and to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you are under 18 years of age a parent or guardian must agree to the terms and conditions on your behalf.
- I acknowledge that the organisers will provide some limited insurance coverage that may provide me with some protection for loss, damage, or injury that I may suffer during my participation in the 2026 Australian Deaf Games. However, I acknowledge and accept that insurance taken out by the organisers does not provide a full indemnity for loss, damage, or injury that I may suffer during my participation in the 2026 Australian Deaf Games. Details of the Australian Deaf Games insurance policies taken out by the organisers can be viewed on www.austdeafgames.org.auor by contacting Deaf Sports Australia. I accept that I have had the opportunity to review the insurance cover. I agree to arrange any additional coverage myself at my expense if I deem it appropriate. The organisers recommend that all participants have private health cover and/or medical insurance, and travel insurance.
- Assistive hearing devices (such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, etc.) are only permitted to be worn by athletes during competition in the 2026 Australian Deaf Games if part of the National Deaf Sport Committee competition policy (for further information, check the 2026 ADG website
- For Sports participation I confirm that I have a hearing loss greater than 40dB 3FAHL in my better ear and agree to submit to random testing during the 2026 Australian Deaf Games by a qualified DSA approved audiologist.
- All requests for refunds will be looked at and assessed on an individual basis. Requests for refunds must be made by written application (email/letter) and received by the GOC on or before 31 May 2026. Refunds may be paid at the discretion of GOC, and a $22 Administration fee will be deducted from any refunded amount.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand the terms and conditions above and agree to be bound by it.
I acknowledge that I have voluntarily entered into this agreement and have understood and acknowledged the terms and conditions.
